We meet a few people in life who are satisfied with – the decisions they made, careers and avocations they pursued, people they lived with, so on and so forth. As we are living in a collective society, many a time the decisions made are in collective interest rather than our own individual interest. In that quest to keep everyone happy, we forget about the things which make us happy. We feel so lethargic that we do not even try to explore the reason behind our own happiness.

While it is important to keep a balance between the collective identity and the individual identity, we should not forget about the reasons behind our own existence. Human being is not a programmed device which is devoid of any senses or incapable of discovering something new. Human beings can explore new ideas and can dream big to live up to them.

This quote sums up everything  nicely :

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
